Hurlers headed in opposite directions to start the season square off at Target Field on Sunday when Nick Tropeano and Kyle Gibson meet in the series finale.
Tropeano looks to build off his stellar season debut when he was victorious in Oakland on April 11, blanking the A's over five innings while striking out six. He made one career relief appearance at Target Field last September and worked a scoreless frame.
Gibson, on the other hand, has absorbed losses in his first two outings of the season for Minnesota. His second start against the White Sox, was an improvement from the opener, as he surrendered one earned run in 5 2/3 innings.
Minnesota is looking to Gibson for its third straight win after starting the season 0-9. Los Angeles (5-6) would climb back to .500 with a win.
