Santana leads streaking Twins vs. Crew

A pair of Opening Day starters will meet at Target Field on Tuesday as the Twins, winners of four straight, face the Brewers to finish the first half of their home-and-home Interleague series.
Wily Peralta will look to get on track for the Brewers against the Twins' Ervin Santana at 12:10 p.m. CT. The teams will then travel to Milwaukee for two more games beginning Wednesday.
Santana's Opening Day start against the Orioles was cut short by rain, but he followed with quality starts at Kansas City and at home against the White Sox. Peralta, meanwhile, has struggled in all three of his starts, all losses in which he compiled a 10.13 ERA.
Things to know about this game
• Peralta's ERA was the highest in the Majors entering Monday for pitchers who had logged at least 10 innings. Taylor Jungmann, who starts Wednesday for Milwaukee, was next at 9.00. Peralta also owned the league's highest WHIP, at 2.10.
• Trevor Plouffe is expected to go on the DL before Tuesday's game with a strained right intercostal muscle, and infielder Jorge Polanco is likely to come up from Triple-A Rochester to replace him. Polanco is ranked as the No. 96 overall prospect by MLBPipeline.com.
• Twins second baseman Brian Dozier enters Tuesday a career .382 (34-for-89) hitter against the Brewers. He had a 19-game hitting streak against Milwaukee snapped in the teams' final meeting of 2015.
