The Brewers finish an eight-game road swing with two games at Target Field against the Twins beginning Monday. Right-hander Chase Anderson (1-0, 0.00 ERA) will make his third start of the season and first career start against the Twins in the opener opposite Phil Hughes.
In Anderson's last start on Wednesday at St. Louis, he received a no-decision in the Brewers' 6-4 win. He tossed six innings and gave up four hits and three runs (zero earned).
Hughes, who's 0-2 with a 4.38 ERA, will be making his third start of the season. The right-hander has two quality starts so far. He gave up three runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings against the White Sox on Wednesday.
Hughes, who will be making his 22nd career Interleague appearance (17th start), is 10-4 with a 3.92 ERA,18 walks and 97 strikeouts vs. the Senior Circuit.
Three things to know about this game
• Hughes has won each of his last six starts vs. NL opponents.
• Center fielder Byron Buxton has been out with a bruised left hand, but is expected to return to the lineup on Monday. Twins manager Paul Molitor said he's been cleared to return to action, but opted not to start him on Sunday.
• Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun recorded his 23rd career multihomer game on Friday at Pittsburgh.
