Gio, Finnegan set for rematch at Nationals Park

The Reds have gotten the best of the Nationals lately. Will that trend continue when the two clubs meet again for a four-game series at Nationals Park?
Cincinnati is 7-2 vs. Washington over the past two seasons, including taking two of three in the June 3-5 series at Great American Ball Park. In D.C., the Reds have won five of the last six games and six of the last eight.
Thursday's series opener will mark a rematch for Gio Gonzalez of the Nationals and Brandon Finnegan of the Reds. In a 7-2 win for the Reds on June 3, Finnegan gave up one run and five hits over 6 1/3 innings, while Gonzalez allowed five runs and nine hits over six innings.
Things to know about this game
• The Reds could be without center fielder Billy Hamilton after he was hit in the face by Anthony Rizzo's fly ball that skipped off of left fielder Adam Duvall's glove on Wednesday for an inside-the-park home run. He was diagnosed with a facial contusion and was undergoing tests as part of the concussion protocol.
• In his career vs. Gonzalez, Joey Votto is 6-for-15 with two home runs.
• During the previous meeting, the only Nationals player to do damage vs. Finnegan was Jayson Werth, who hit a seventh-inning solo home run to right field.
