In search of their 12th straight win and a series sweep, the Indians will give the ball to right-hander Danny Salazar, who enters Wednesday's game on a winning streak of his own.
Salazar (9-3, 2.40 ERA) has won his last five starts, posting a 2.53 ERA during that stretch. The right-hander issued five walks in the Tribe's 9-3 win over the Tigers on Friday, allowing three runs on four hits with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
The Braves announced after Tuesday's loss that Joel De La Cruz will get the start in Wednesday's finale and make his Major League debut. De La Cruz went 1-3 with a 4.63 ERA in 21 games this season with Triple-A Gwinnett, five of which were starts. In those five starts, De La Cruz pitched 26 2/3 innings with a 3.38 ERA.
